The 2018 Football World Cup is starting from 14th June in Russia this year. The matches will continue for the whole month and the final match will be held on 15th July. It is a retractable roof stadium. The build cost of this stadium is $ 1.1 Billion which makes this stadium as the costliest stadium built ever on planet earth. Initially it was planned to be opened in 2008, but to delay and over budget, it was finally opened in 2017 for FIFA Confederation cup where it holds total 4 matches. #4. Kaliningrad Stadium Capacity – 35,212 (New Stadium)
It is also called Arena Baltika. It has some retractable roof system. It is considered as the most secured stadium as it is equipped with ultramodern security systems and CCTVs. #5. Kazan Arena Stadium – Capacity: 45,379
This is situated in Kazan Russia. It was officially opened in 2013. It was majorly used for the purpose of football matches, In 2017 it has hosted 4 matches of 2017 FIFA Confederation Cup & it is scheduled to host 5 matches of FIFA World Cup on June 16, 20, 24, 27, 30 & July 6th. It is situated in Sochi, Russia. It is officially opened in 2014 for Olympics Winter Games & Paralympics. It has hosted the opening & closing ceremony of these games. This is a multi purpose stadium. It is upgraded specially for FIFA World Cup 2018. Now its seating capcity is approx. 36000 which will be reduced to 23000 after this world cup. This venue is situated in most eastern area amongst all the venues of FIFA World Cup 2018. This makes it as the only venue situated in Asian Russia amongst all venues of World Cup.
